From the Central Valley with love…

I wish I could tell you, really describe to you how perfect they are. They did all the things great peaches do. They were sweet and just a little sour and you had to eat them over the sink because the juice would run down your arm. Maybe the most wonderful thing about them is that you could smell them, not when you walked into the kitchen, but when you opened the front door of my apartment. But actually, no. Because really the most wonderful thing about them was where they came from.

Our varieties

Stone fruit comes in lots of sizes, colors, varieties. We love yellow-flesh and higher-acid fruit! We hope our varieties leave lasting memories.

Here’s a printable guide of our Stone Fruit varieties available through the Drive Thru.

Quick Overview:

Nicole apricot (coming 2022)

Spring Lady peach: aromatic, light sweetness, a wonderful prelude to the rest of the season. (semi-freestone)

Rose Diamond nectarine: if a nectarine could be a firework, this one would be it. Full of unbelievable spark, the acid dances on your taste-buds. (semi-freestone)

Gold Dust peach: the mother of Sun Crest, a small and mighty peach. (Photo on the left!) This peach has unbelievable silky texture and flavor. Wonderful for canning and baking. (freestone)

Golden Sweet apricot: Sweet and tangy, we love pairing this apricot with rosemary in baked treats! (freestone)

Spring Bright nectarine: ruby external color, touch of tart. You won’t want to eat just one! (semi-freestone)

Flavor Crest peach: Descendant of of Gold Dust peach and cousin to Sun Crest. These usually have beautiful blush (sometimes they look like flames dancing across the skin). Dense texture, juicy, full of peach essence. (freestone)

Sun Crest peach: The inspiration for Epitaph for a Peach. This orchard, now over 50 years old, is like an old growth forest. Sometimes we catch glimpses of complex life (like an owl sleeping inside the hollow of a limb that is still alive and growing). These peaches are incredible fresh, bright flavor that reminds us of home. (freestone)

Summer Grand nectarine: cousin to Le Grand, bright acid notes and balanced by sweetness. (Freestone)

Le Grand nectarine: a queen nectarine on our farm. Often freckled exterior, when ripe they have a deep bright orange tone. The flesh is dense and packed with flavor - sweet but just enough of a pucker that it’s hard not to suck every morsel of the pit. (cling)

Elberta peach: classic heirloom peach. Holds up incredibly in canning, preserving, baking (we especially love peach chutney and salsa). (freestone)

Thompson Seedless grapes (made into raisins): our raisins are sun-cured (all of the purple ones are dried by the sun; in contrast to golden raisins that are dried either using chemicals or dehydrators). FRESH raisins are full of caramel sweetness and a smooth texture. We’re still working on a new raisin program to offer raisins directly, when it’s ready to launch, we hope you’ll be able to taste the difference!

Our stone fruit season typically spans from the end of May through beginning of August.
